Location. Location. Location.

Sometimes the perfect setting

is just too perfect to let go.

Even if it means downsizing

considerably and tackling a

major renovation. But the fact

that walking to shops and

restaurants on Park Avenue in

Winter Park could be a daily

scenario made the choice much

easier for designer Hattie Wolfe

and her longtime partner

Ed Sabori. Luckily, she could

visualize way beyond the rough,

dated interior. Hattie and her

daughter and design partner

Abby Rizor invited me in to

see the end results.

The main living area is visually enlarged with

the expanded fireplace wall and strategically

placed furnishings. The ceiling was raised, and

details were added. Black on the entry wall is

brightened with a large grouping of art.
