However,thestigmaofChinese in uence
stuckaround.Inmanufacturing, Made in
Chinawasstillconsideredinferior, and
Chinesebrandsjustdidn’thave the prestige.
Butwitha hugeeconomy,China bought
it’swayintotheglobalstage as silent

onthetechmarket.I would never have
thoughtthatHWMwouldone day weigh in
onthepoliticallandscape.The Huawei trade
banhighlightedjusthowmuch Intellectual
Propertyandtechnologytransfer is bigger
thanmanufacturing.Bythe time you read
this,thewholeissuecouldvery well have
beenresolvedaspoliticalposturing, but
regardless,thenextthreemonths will be
closelywatched.
