Species eligible for world records
fish must weigh at least 2kg to qualify). However, the IGFA only
recognizes Line Class, Tippet Class and Junior/Smallfry World
Records for a select group of freshwater and saltwater game
fish species. New species are occasionally added to the list of
Line Class eligible species after the IGFA becomes aware that
the species has become of interest to a significant number of
anglers. So unless the species is already listed as eligible for
line class world records, your catches would only apply to the
