Onboard one of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority’s Titan 220 patrol vessels (powered by twin Yamaha 90-hp outboards)

waterway with Canada’s busiest floatplane airport, it’s critical for mariners to adhere to the Port of Victoria Traffic Scheme,
and the harbour patrollers help those who may be unfamiliar with the waters stay on course. “We like to think of ourselves as
ambassadors,” remarks Attwell. The port recently developed a new, simplified map illustrating the traffic scheme, which is
available in printed format at various locations including the port operation office at Fisherman’s Wharf, and online at https://
