778-984-A recently-completed new landmark on the
Victoria waterfront is the Victoria International
Marina. Restricted to vessels 20 m (65 ft) and
over due to its location on the north side of
the seaplane runway (where small vessels are
prohibited from operating), the high-end su-
peryacht marina has 28 slips (seven permanent
and 21 transient) for vessels ranging from 65 ft
to 175 ft (55 m). Amenities include concierge
service, provisioning, private conference and
event facilities and dedicated crew facilities.
In the photo right, marketing director Graham
Morgan is standing in the main event space,
which is available for public rental for weddings
and other functions (it can accommodate 100
seated guests or 200 for cocktails). It will also
be used to host charity events, art shows and
other community events. Following a soft open-
ing in 2018, the marina celebrated its official
grand opening on July 1, 2019.
