ver the past decade, Arcadia Yachts has made
its name for innovative design and fuel-saving
technology, so Yacht Style is excited about the
Sherpa XL to be shown at the Cannes Yachting
Festival in September.
Designed by Milan-based Hot Lab, this 24m ‘pocket
megayacht’ has a remarkable 220sqm of living space, helped by
a girthy 7m beam. Roomy social areas include the aft cockpit,
forward skylounge (pictured above) and the sunlounge up top.
We also like Arcadia’s commitment to renewable energy and
reducing consumption. Check out the solar panels in the top,
which provide 3kW of clean energy, enough to power the main
‘hotel’ services. There are also low-consumption devices, LED
lighting and thermally insulated windows, as well as an efficient
semi-planing hull. Furthermore, windows that open mean you
can enjoy the breeze rather than always relying on air-con. We
