FARTHEST FLIGHT BY HOVERBOARD
Who better to introduce our specially themed superhero
edition of Guinness World Records than a real-life Silver
Surfer? On 30 Apr 2016, French former jet-ski champion
Franky Zapata travelled 2,252.4 m (7,389 ft 9 in) on
a hoverboard in Sausset-les-Pins, France. His flying
machine, the Flyboard Air, is propelled by a jet engine
with a capacity of around 1,000 hp (745.7 kW), enabling
Franky to fly more than eight times farther than the
