Whatchallengesdid

thistraditionally

industry?
Duetothesizeandcomplexity
oftheequipment,thework
is oftenveryphysical,and
requireslonghoursonone’sfeet,
climbing,crouching,andheavy
lifting.Traditionally,thistypeof
workhasbeendonemostlyby
men,andI encounteredsome
clientswhoatfirstdoubted
myabilitytodothework.
It wasdifficulttochange
theperceptionthatIwasn’tas
capableasmymalecolleagues.
WhenI wasstillanapprentice,
I alwayshadtoprovetoour
customersthatI couldservice
theirmachines,andwasable
todiagnosecomplexproblems
andinterprettechnicalmanuals
andschematics.So,bythetime
