countlesshoursofdrivingin-between.Withonlythefinalresultsanda fewdistinctive

prizeslefttounveil,it wastimetoexchangetheriverfortheconcreteconfinesofQuebec

City.Asfinalresultswereannounced,it wouldappearthattheydidn'tmatter.Sure,in 10

yearssomemayrememberthatDanestoodjubilantaftertakinghisthirdconsecutive

Unleashedtitle,butnoonewillrememberwhocamesecond,orfifth,orlast.Foreveryone

whocametogetherinthefrigid,dynamicconditionsofNorthernQuebec,Unleashed

isn’taboutthefourevents,ordefinedbyplacing.It is aboutsharinga commonpassion,

reachinga commongoalofpushingyourselfwhilehelpingtoprogressthesport,and

theresultantmomentsandmemoriesthatforgetheunbreakablebondsoffriendship.As

first-timecompetitorAndiBrunnerstated,“Unleashedis morethanyouthink.Yeah,it’sa

competition,butatthesametimeit’sanepickayakingtripwithamazingfriends!”
