The photo shows yogini Fiia Ketonen in front of the colourful houses
of Notting Hill doing her favourite yoga asana: wheel pose. “This was
my first time in London and I fell in love!” She says her visit came about
after meeting her now friend Alix Blanx (photographer) during her
travels to Australia. Blanx lives in the UK capital. Ketonen started a big
adventure in 2014, travelling for over two years, making her way from
Australia to Indonesia, and then from New Zealand to Thailand.
“I loved the travelling lifestyle, all the new and exciting adventures,
whilst being able to constantly challenge myself.” The best part, she
says, was meeting people from all over the world...and the yoga.
“Sometimes travelling did get quite hectic and it was very difficult to
keep routines. In those times, yoga kept me grounded. When things got
stressful, it helped me to re-focus, breathe and relax. Yoga is something
you can practice anywhere, anytime.”
