Up Your Score SAT, 2018-2019 Edition The Underground Guide to Outsmarting The Test

ARE PERCENTILES AND SAT SCORES CONNECTED?

Your score and percentile are definitely connected, although the exact
relationship will probably be discovered around the same time as the cave in
which Tupac and Elvis have been hiding all these years.

HOW MANY QUESTIONS CAN I GET WRONG AND STILL GET A PERFECT SCORE?

That varies from year to year. Traditionally there has been more leeway on the
reading and writing scores than the math scores. On the old SAT, during an
average year, you could get one or two reading or writing questions wrong and
still score 800, but an 800 in math usually required a true, no-errors perfect
performance. But on the new SAT, at least so far, it looks like you need to get all
the questions right on all sections to score that sweet 1600.
