On the cover Kristi Clark

“ We have no guilt or
shame on prospering,
if it’s done through
the eyes of dharma”

YJ: I had the idea, I don’t know why,
that you were a franchisor, the Fitness
First of yoga.

DP: [Laughing] “Yeah, if I wanted to make
it like that – and I’ve had plenty of people
with the money put to me over the years –
we could have opened 30 studios, or even
more. But we’ve just turned it down every
time. It’s not what I’m interested in. It’s
truly organic.

YJ: So what does the future hold
for Power Living?

DP: More of the same. We have very
senior people ready to open studios.
We will probably open in New Zealand
this year and there’s talk of Byron Bay.
But it will always be that organic growth,
it’ll never be focused solely on business.
We have no guilt or shame on prospering,
if it’s done through the eyes of dharma.
