Q: What’s your secret to making time for yourself and
your family throughout the summer?
A: While the kids are in school, summer camp or play
dates, I go to meetings, write for my blog, and do workkk-
shops and events for Philosophie. I also like to integrate
my kids into my workouts as much as possible by taking
them with me on hikes, doing yoga with them, or even
Q: How do you keep your kids safe from the sun
each summer?
A: Lots of sunblock! I like to use zinc mineral-based
formulas like Babo Botanicals without iffy chemicals.
I also whip up smoothies with foods that naturally
offer sun protection like lycopene-rich watermelon or
berries that are bursting with antioxidants. We sip on
these before our beach days and pool dips!
Q: What do you look for when you buy skin care
products for your kids?
A: I look for organic, natural ingredients and stay away
from harmful chemicals like parabens. Our skin is our
largest organ, and it soaks everything up that we
slather on it. It’s super important to be conscious of
what we’re putting on our bodies.
Q: How do you get your kids involved in yoga?
