Kai Australia to meet Mitsuteru
Ueshiba Sensei, son of the
Doshu and present dojo-cho
(dojo head) at the Aikikai
hombu (headquarters) in
Tokyo. Visiting Melbourne as
a guest of Aiki Kai Australia,
Ueshiba Sensei was a guest
instructor at the annual
Australian organisation’s
Summer School. Along
with Shou Umetsu Sensei,
who was acting as dojo-
cho’s assistant, he made
quite an impression on the
aikidoka gathered for the
week of intensive training.
For many on the mat,
Ueshiba Sensei’s first visit
to Australia afforded
them a wonderful
opportunity to
learn from, and
exchange
technique
