OM Magazine

Issue 79, December 2017

Welcome to our warm, snuggly new December
issue. Inside, we’ve got everything you need to
sign off the year in style: lots of yoga, lots of
good vibes and lots of lovely people to inspire
you and see you through to the new year.
If you’re thinking, “Where has 2017 gone?”
you’re not alone. The months can certainly
fly by when we’re getting to grips with work,
life, love and all the other joys of this very
human experience.
And that’s one reason we do yoga: to press
the pause button, to stop and smell the roses, and to learn to live in
and appreciate the countless moments that we might otherwise miss
each day and each year unless we take the time to truly embrace life
and all its strange wonders.
Yes, you might get a fit bod too, but stepping onto the mat
is certainly one way we can all get more out of life generally,
experiencing gratitude for all that we have, and even helping us take
small steps along the path of ordinary enlightenment in our daily lives.
You’ll find everything you need in this month’s issue to keep you
motivated along the way. That includes plenty of practical advice for
improving your yoga practice, plus great stories of yoga students and
teachers out there doing amazing things in the big wide world.
And if you’re looking for a new mat to elevate your practice then
you’re in the right place. Picking the right one for you is not always
straightforward, so we’ve compiled a list of great mats for all your yoga
needs. We’ve hunted high and low, scouring the globe for the best
mats to show you what’s out there, whether you’re a total beginner or
a yoga teacher to the Hollywood celebs.
Have a fantastic month, folks and we’ll see you again next year. Now,
can anyone tell me where 2017 has gone?
