B
e prepared for transformation:
that should be the warning sign
that hangs on the door of any
retreat hosted by husband and
wife team Catherine and Dietmar
Kennard. The couple, both accomplished
musicians and singers as well as soul
seekers, have put together a multi-faceted
retreat programme to overhaul guests from
the inside out.
With yoga at its core, the pair bring
together a wonderful cocktail of healing
therapies, blending psychology and
spirituality with restful calm and exquisite
food for a complete, immersive and utterly
relaxing experience.
Perhaps the diversity of the retreats is
matched only by their depth: expect blissful
yoga, a friendly community vibe, meaningful
chats, and anything from sublime (and
sleepy!) gong baths to thought-provoking
A mind, body, spirit retreat that’ll revive you from the inside out: expect inner and
outer transformation during the Kennard’s Academy holistic healing breaks

lectures from inspirational figures.
The pair hosted their first retreat last
year at the wonderful Inner Guidance
(innerguidance.co.uk) retreat centre in
Suffolk, a centuries-old country house,
with more planned this year and foreign
holidays also on the horizon. For those who
love yoga, enjoy healthy food and are keen
to expand their mind and broaden their
horizons then they are a real find.
Community vibe
One of the best things about the retreats
is how the Kennards are able to effortlessly
blend all of these diverse aspects together.
That’s in part down to the strong sense
of community created during your stay,
but it’s also fuelled by yoga. At last year’s
debut retreat, yoga provided the anchor in
the mornings for guests to start the day,
