Your Morning Routine Toolkit
180
I’m fully immersed in my local church, and it’s amazing
to see how much I have grown and changed, all starting
with Hello Mornings. Having accountability through Hello
Mornings has cemented my morning God time, which is
now a nonnegotiable, enjoyable start to my day.
I love that story. Not only did Jen pursue community and
accountability, she even pressed in when it felt uncomfortable.
And through her small step of courage, God did an amazing work.
Set Your Accountability Anchor
Accountability starts with us. We need to begin by keeping
ourselves accountable to what we say we will do. The thing
about group accountability is that it depends on the group. It
depends on their steadfastness, their commitment, their situa-
tions, and their relationships.
I believe that before we can invest well in others and receive
the full benefit of community accountability, we need to do a
little bit of work to take a step in the direction of our own commit -
ment to growth.
How do we create self- accountability? By first knowing
what we’re accountable for. Answer these questions for yourself,
and consider posting them somewhere to inspire and motivate
you daily:
- What is my goal?
