Hatha yoga instructor Kinga Tauber is seen here practicing at
Budapest’s Liberty Bridge, which crosses the River Danube. Normally
it’s a place that is crowded with people and cars, right in the heart of
the city, but in this moment there was no traffic to be seen, perhaps
reflecting the stillness of the practice. Tauber says she does yoga
outside every day to experience the simultaneous rush and energy of
urban life, with the proximity to nature, by the riverside. She breathes
with the beat of the city. “It’s really good to feel that you can catch
these kind of rare moments in the city centre too,” she says. “To stop
for a moment and find the place and time for a little movement and
relaxation, and simply feel your freedom on the Liberty Bridge.”om beginnings
