Building Strong Families

(Wang) #1

In this book crucial topics like the following are tackled with
insight and spirit: how to raise masculine sons and feminine daugh-
ters; what local church family ministry should try to accomplish in the
new millennium; mentoring of boys and young women; a vision for
clear-eyed leadership; renewal of the home; the true roles of husbands
and wives; sexual intimacy.
In addition to offering thanks to Nancy DeMoss and Wayne
Grudem for their role in the conference as well as in this series, I
would like to acknowledge my appreciation and gratitude for the work
of my buddy and fellow warrior of words, Bruce Nygren, on this pro-
ject. You’re a good friend. A special thanks goes to Janet Logan, John
Majors, Cherry Tolleson, Randy Likens, and Clark Hollingsworth for
holding down the fort while I speak and write. You all are terrific.
As John Piper describes so eloquently later in this book, the sur-
passing goal for all we do is the “glory of God.” I trust that the mate-
rial presented herein, with God’s assistance, will meaningfully
accomplish that objective in your life and ministry.
