THE ESSENTIAL YOGA POSES
- Start in Warrior II. Reach
your front arm up toward
your ear as you lean back. - Gently place your other
hand on the top of your
back thigh. Keep length in
both sides of the waist.
GAZE: Up toward lifted hand
PRECEDING POSES: Warrior II
COUNTERPOSES:
Extended Side Angle
PRECAUTIONS: Make sure to
engage your lower belly so as not
to overarch your lower back.
TIP: Keep the front le g
bent as you reach back.
