Lord, save this world, I pray, with the gospel. Let it go out to the ends
of the earth. Let this land and every race know the power of Christ.
May Christ be King of Kings openly, as he is secretly. May the whole
earth bow at his feet and pay homage to him, who wore the crown
of thorns and surrendered hands and feet to the nails – for his glory
- for his glory! May there be ten thousand, thousand hearts for him!
May the nations come and pay homage to him who gave his life for
all. My heart cries out to you on behalf of the well-beloved. Why do
you delay, Father, in rewarding your Son? His work is finished; let
him see the travail of his soul.^294
Conclusion
I commit myself again into your keeping, faithful Creator; to your
keeping, Saviour of the pierced hands; to your keeping, eternal Spirit,
who is able to keep me from falling, and to make me holy so I may
stand among the saints in light. Lord God I can trust you and I do
trust you. I will not fear since you, my God, remain sure for ever and
your covenant cannot fail. Amen.^295
