Prayers of Charles Spurgeon 93
The word of God
Speak Lord, and if there is darkness make it light with your word.^307
Set reading
Gracious Friend and Father, how good you have been. In eternity you
wrote my name in the Book of Life. In the fullness of time you gave
your dear Son from your heart that he might be offered up a sacrifice,
and then when the full time was come you called me by your grace,
from wandering in the ways of sin, into the paths of righteousness.
Therefore I will praise the God of grace. While I have being I will
extol the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.^308
Prayer
While I pray, honour yourself, honour your truth, honour your Son,
indulge your mercy, magnify your name. I ask it in the name of the
Well-beloved. Amen.^309

Conclusion
We have all we want when we come to you. How rich I am when
Christ is mine! To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.^310
