Preparation
Lord God, you are great, holy and exalted above all humankind. And
you are great especially in that you were unwilling to forget your
people, to leave us alone, or, in spite of all which speaks against us, to
reject us. Now you have given us in your dear Son Jesus Christ our
Lord; nothing less than your own self and everything which is yours.
I thank you that I am allowed to be a guest at the table of your grace,
as long as I live, and for eternity.^338

Glory to the Father......
The Word of God
Loving Father in heaven, thank you for the eternal, living, saving
word which in Jesus you have spoken and still speak to us. May I not
hear it casually, or be too lazy to respond. Do not let go of me, but
stay near me with your comfort and peace. Amen.^339
