Modi cations and Other Options
- If you have stiff or sensitive knees, place a block under the sitz
bones. - Place a blanket under the tops of the feet and shins for comfort.
- If you recline, place a bolster under your back and head for support.
- For a half-hero pose, keep one foot bent back by the outer hip
while the other leg extends straight out (1). Repeat on the other
side. - For a deeper variation, bend one knee toward the sky, keeping the
sole of the foot at on the oor (2) or pull the thigh in toward the
chest (3).
