Jenefer Palmer founded OSEA Skin Care more than 20 years ago.
The multi-modality healer and spa director was inspired in part by her
pioneering chiropractor grandmother’s use of seaweed for its reparative
powers. OSEA—still owned and operated by the Palmer family—is
also vegan, biodegradable, cruelty-free, non GMO, synthetic-free,
gluten-free, and made with love in the USA.
Palmer says, “OSEA Skincare was inspired with the idea of unit-
ing the elements—Ocean, Sun, Earth, and Atmosphere. Our blend
of organic seaweed concentrates, combined with lush botanicals and
essential oils deliver effective natural skin care solutions for anti-aging,
sensitive skin, and blemish care.”
Jenefer was one of the first to be concerned about using only natural
ingredients in her skincare. We are so appreciative that all those years
ago she chose RON ROBINSON at Fred Segal Melrose to be her
launch partner. The passion, integrity, and dedication of the OSEA
team synchronizes perfectly with our company philosophy and ethic.
Our clients come back to purchase OSEA products because of the ef-
ficacy of these products.
In addition to being available online and in store at the RON
ROBINSON locations, OSEA can be found at noteworthy spas around
the world. Now OSEA has opened its first stand-alone space on Abbot
Kinney Boulevard.
The Venice Skincare Studio is open Wednesday through Saturday.
Available facial treatments include: OSEA Express Facial with wild gigar-
tina seaweed, a Cranial Wave Facial that includes anti-inflammatory LED
Light Therapy, and a Deep Sea Age Defying Facial. When you need a
nourishing infusion of seaweed-imbued products, make an appointment.

Urban Yoga Center

at Desert AIDS Project

Palm Springs

Kristin Olson’s Urban Yoga Center in Palm Springs has long been a
beacon of the yogic community. For example, they’ve sponsored Urban
Teen Yoga at Palm Springs High School for PE credit for 20 years. And
Kristin initiated discounted classes for HIV/AIDS clients and employees
of Desert AIDS Project in 2000.
As of November, Urban Yoga aligned with Desert AIDS Project
(DAP) to create a new yoga studio that serves the Urban Yoga
CommUnity, the general public, and DAP clients, doctors, and employees.
Elements unique to Urban Yoga were transferred: favorite teachers
and classes, kirtan and soundbath events, full-wall mirrors, colorful
pillows, and the watchful Ganesh and Buddha statues. In addition, the
tranquil room is covered with a state-of-the-art Deepak Chopra In-
nerSpace grounding floor that provides benefits for overall vitality and
improved practice.
The two entities, UYC@DAP, share a focus on the mental, physical,
and spiritual well-being of the “Planet & the Peeps.”
“The healing communities of Urban Yoga and Desert AIDS Project
joined together to increase our collective impact in the Coachella Val-
ley. Through partnering under one roof, we provide a more holistic ap-
proach to health and wellness,” says David Brinkman, CEO of Desert
AIDS Project.
Kristin says, “In addition to wellness, Urban Yoga focuses on mind-
fulness and increasing strength and flexibility to create the balance and
union of Body, Mind, and Spirit.”
The Urban Yoga schedule features a mix of Gentle, Beginning, and
Restorative as well as challenging Energetic Flow, Bottle Rocket, and
Vinyasa 2-3. Join UYC@DAP classes and be a part of this happy, dedi-
cated CommUnity in their new home.
