OM in 30 seconds

Tortoise pose will improve the flexibility
of your hips, back, and shoulders,
while lengthening your spine and
hamstrings. As your arms and legs
enclose your body, you are invited
to cultivate patience, withdraw your
senses and still your mind.

Yoga terrifies men because the degree
that we need to journey through a
land of unfelt and even undiscovered
emotions is very daunting, to say the
least. Most men are deeply invested in
not showing their vulnerability.

Yin is a more grounding and slower
paced style of yoga, which is growing
in popularity. It teaches us how to slow
down and stay with a sensation for
much longer holds than in our faster-
paced practices. It aims at cultivating
awareness of the inner silence.
