To give the black surfaces some depth and highlights I airbrushed areas of white which were then
oversprayed with gradual thinned layers of Gunze Black. This is difficult to control and I found I lost the
tone-work in certain areas.
It was necessary to work the lighter tones back-in
with very diluted white applied very gradually.The initial airbrushed white
highlights on the black primer
look very stark and unrealistic.
Note the emphasis on panels
and edges.The tones were now closer to what I had in mind
adding dimension to the models.
Certain panels were masked and gradually airbrushed with Gunze H416, this is a
slightly warmer tone which ads further interest and realism.
