Dear Everybuggy,
I love, love your magazine! I used to
like Ladybug the best, but now I like Spider
the best! Hey, Thistle, have you ever gotten
lost? Hey, Everybuggy, do you like art?
Hey, Spider, do you like April Fools’
Day?
Natalie Livingston, age 7
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Dear Natalie,
Thistle was lost once, but then she found
her way again. We all love art. And April
Fools’ Day is my very favorite holiday of
the whole year!

Star Light, Star Bright
Many different stars.
The stars express their feelings
By twinkling high in the sky.
Many different constellations.
Stars holding hands, displaying their
artwork.
Lions, scorpions, and bears, oh my!
Many, many different galaxies.
Each one a unique world.
Worlds with black, white, and grey in
the sky.
Our universe is amazing!

Stars
Stars, stars hang like
beautiful light jewels,
different shapes and sizes.
Look up in the sky tonight.
You might see the stars.

Elizabeth Sophia Bauer, age 9
Atlanta, Georgia
Leah lay on the ground deep in thought.
She wondered if her dad would ever let her go
stargazing. Ry, her brother, jogged up to where
Leah was sprawled on the ground and asked,
“Thinkin’ ’bout the ol’ stars ’gain?”
“Yeah. My birthday is tomorrow, and all I
want is to go stargazing,” she sighed. Little did
Leah know, but tomorrow her father was taking
her stargazing.
The next day, she and her father drove up
to Bear Lake, North Carolina. After they had
set up their campsite, they both stretched out
on the grass.
“It’s getting dark out,” Leah noticed.
“Yup. Are you ready?” her dad asked.
Leah nodded.
As he got their telescopes ready, Leah
realized that here it wasn’t anything like Atlanta.
No city lights, no telephone poles, even no
skyscrapers! Finally, the telescopes were ready.
Leah gazed up at Orion. That was when she
discovered that she was comfortable. Gazing up
at Leo, she found herself wishing she could stay
there forever.

Lexi Pawlowski, age 7
Franklin, Wisconsin
Once upon a time there was a boy
named Billy. He was going on a boat ride
with his grandpa. It was getting late, and
the moon was out.
Billy’s dream was to go up to the moon,
and tonight he was going to make his
dream come true. He took the old rusty
long ladder out of the boat and reached
it up to the moon. He and his grandpa
climbed up the ladder.
When they got up, they were surprised to
see the man on the moon. The man on the
moon showed them a moon secret: when
you tap the moon with a hammer, a
magical thing happens. The moon
bursts into a million stars. When they
did the magical thing, they rode
stars. That is how stars are made.

Dear Miro,
I love your magazin
Can you adopt Fey?
Here’s a joke: What has one hundred legs
but can’t walk? A centipede with broken legs!

Dear Thistle,
First off, I love your magazine! It helps
when I’m in a bad mood. My fav characters are
Thistle and Sam. That’s why I really want you
to adopt Cottontail! She has had a hard life
and loves to eat cupcakes. Cottontail keeps her
ears closed all the time, except for when it’s
dinnertime or you’re in danger.
She attacks anything that hurts
her owner. Thanks for listening
