into the wheel wells (such as
they are). Hum, this is going
to be one of those ‘modelling
skills required’ kind of builds
I think, I wonder if I have
any these days. I skipped this
for the moment (seriously,
making up the main gear and
installing it in a well - more of
a sheet of plastic actually and
attaching the gear doors as
the irst stage?) and moved to
Stages 5 and 6, which make up
the engine nacelles (with full
trunking to the compressor
faces and turbine detail) and
the aforementioned ‘wells’.
A problem here is that the
kit trunking tapers as they
pass over the wheel well and
then stay at that diameter.
Apparently on the real aircraft
the intake trunk opens up
again after passing the main
Apparently twelve of these aircraft were
built, and of the ten remaining, five are
operated by Russia and the other five by
the Ukrainian Navy.
