ICBC Financial Leasing (China) and GA Telesis (US) have signed an
MOU to agree on building a marketing alliance in assisting airlines in
their fleet renewal activities by trading out of mature or end of life
aircraft and in providing spare engine financing and leasing solutions.
ICBC Aviation Leasing has delivered one A320neo to GoAir (India),
the fifth of the six aircraft on the operating lease with the carrier.
The company has signed an MOU with a Japanese leasing firm to
develop a strategic alliance to offer JOL and JOLCO financing products
to airlines globally..
ICBC Aviation Leasing will place three new GTF-powered A320neos
with Vietnam Airlines from 2Q20.

Indigo Partners (US) and three of its airlines will acquire 50 of the
new A321XLR aircraft. The MOU includes new orders for 32 A321XLRs
and the conversion of 18 existing A320neo family orders. Some 20 of
the A321XLRs will be allocated to Wizz Air (Hungary), 18 to Frontier
Airlines (US), and 12 to JetSMART (Chile).

Nordic Aviation Capital (Denmark) has delivered one ATR-42-500,
serial 495, to Air Antilles Express on lease and one ATR72-600, serial
1286, to Transnusa (Indonesia) on lease.
Nordic Aviation Group reports 2018 turnover up 30% to US$122.5
million, as consolidated financial results fell to a loss of $6.1 million.

Novus Aviation Capital (UAE) Novus Aviation Capital (UAE) has
signed an MOU with Vietjet Air (Vietnam) for the financing and leasing
deals for 10 aircraft over the next 18 months, in a transaction valued
at US$1.3 billion. The aircraft will be a mix of single aisle aircraft from
Vietjet’s order book.

Sukhoi (Russia) requires US$10.4 million from IrAero (Russia) for
undisclosed reasons. It is likely stemming from SSJ100 and B777 lease
contracts.

United Aircraft (Russia) is “working with” airlines in Russia and China,
with potential deliveries also in South-East Asia, and the Middle East.

Viking Air (Canada) and Air Antilles (Guadeloupe) have signed an
agreement for the purchase of two Viking Twin Otter Series 400
aircraft, which will deliver in 4Q19, replacing two -300s. The carrier will
become the first Series 400 Twin Otter operator to receive EASA
certification for steep approach operations.

Zunum Aero US) is close to shutting down as the company, which
hopes to build a 12-seat hybrid electric aircraft, has run short of cash
and halted operations. The company, previously backed by Boeing and
JetBlue (US), is seeking to raise more capital.

Boeing B737 jet program manager Eric Lindblad is retiring after
nearly a year on the job. Mark Jenks, who has worked on Boeing’s
potential new mid-market airplane project, will assume the role as
lead of the 737 programme.
Boeing has lost US$36 billion in market value since the onset of the
B737 MAX debacle – far more than it is likely to spend in compensation,
fixes and fines.
The manfacturer has sought to reassure aircraft financing and
leasing firms that it is working “tirelessly” to get its B737 MAX aircraft
back in the air after the grounding earlier this year.
Boeing announced major program deliveries during 2Q19,
including deliveries under operating leases, at 90 for the quarter and
239 for the year to date.
Boeing announced has US$100 million in funds to address the
family and community needs of those affected by the tragic accidents
of Lion Air(Indonesia) Flight 610 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302.
Boeing will record a 2Q19 after-tax charge of US$4.9 billion in
connection with the B737 MAX grounding and associated delivery
delays. This charge will result in a $5.6 billion reduction of revenue and
pre-tax earnings in the quarter. Estimated costs to produce the aircraft
in the B737 accounting quantity increased by $1.7 billion in quarter.


CRAIC (China/Russia) says that first firm orders for the CR929 will
emerge only after initial flight tests, which is expected in 2023.


De Havilland Aircraft of Canada has announced that TAAG (Angola)
has purchased six Dash 8-400s.
The manufacturer has announced the delivery of its first Dash
8-400 aircraft following the completion of the transition of the Dash
8/Q Series aircraft program to DHC on 01Jun19. The aircraft was
delivered to Qazaq Air (Kazakhstan).
De Havilland Aircraft of Canada has formally received the Type
Certificates for the entire Dash 8 aircraft program, including the 100,
200 and 300 series and the in-production 400.


Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (UAE) and AirBridgeCargo (Russia) have
entered into a purchase/leaseback agreement with PDP financing for
three new B777Fs, delivering from 2020.
DAE Capital delivered and committed to deliver over US$1.1 billion
in aircraft assets in 1H19, and grew its managed assets portfolio to 51
aircraft valued at $1.3 billion.


Elix Aviation Capital (Ireland) has signed an LOI with ATR to become
the launch customer of the ATR-42-600S, with an order for 10 aircraft.
The official launch of the 42-600S is expected before the end of 2019.
The company delivered one ATR42-500, serial 637, to Air Corsica
(France) on lease; one ATR42-500, serial 633, on lease to Afrijet
(Gabon); and two ATR72-500s, serials 699 and 767, on lease to
SkyExpress (Greece).


Eviation Aircraft (Israel) has announced the first commercial
customer for its all-electric Alice airplane, Cape Air (US), with a double-
digit purchase option.


Fly Leasing (Ireland) recently repossessed three 2014 vintage B737-
800s from Jet Airways (India), but does not expect to take a financial
hit as the cash security deposits and maintenance reserves were
significant.
Fly Leasing has contracted to sell a portfolio of 12 aircraft,
comprised of A320s and B737s with an average age of eight years. It
anticipates the sales will generate in excess of US$125 million of cash
after repaying debt related to the aircraft and satisfying other
transaction expenses.


GKN Aerospace (Netherlands) has announced that it has
manufactured the first demonstrator wing components for Airbus’
“Wing of tomorrow” research program.


Goshawk (Ireland) has just closed its first securitisation, a US$529
million ABS comprising a portfolio of 18 aircraft with an initial
