Ray Hill RIP
We have the sad news to report that Ray
Hill, who edited Display Diary from May
2007 to November 2017, passed away on
2nd August following a long illness.
Ray became an early member of Air-
Britain, having joined in the 1950s, and a
stalwart volunteer, helping out at Fly-Ins
and several of our publications. We will
miss him greatly.Thank you to all you responded to the
request for more reports in June’s ABN. It
would be helpful to get more reports from
the bigger events (Fairford, Cosford etc.) as
I quite often have to use my own log or get
a single report. Multiple reports help to
make a report as complete as possible.

This list covers Saturday 22nd only, which
had glorious sunny conditions. Sunday was
showery, with low cloud although the
airshow did go ahead – the Red Arrows
made two low passes on the Sunday before
abandoning their display. Airbus EC135
Juno HT.1/TH135 ZM510 landed on the
beach on Sunday before moving on to the
Helicopter Museum.
