followed by Ethiopia, Yemen, the United
States, the United Kingdom, Libya, Djibouti,
South Africa, and Sweden. Canada is
thirteenth on the list. - Some Somali immigrants to Canada
come from the United States. This is called
secondary migration. Of all asylum seekers
in Canada, a third are Americans. These are
often children born in the United States to
parents of a different citizenship.
