Having an impressive rolling chassis and drivetrain
completed, DWS Classics set about finding the perfect mix
of colors for the C10. Vierstra Designs had already completed
a rendering, composed of a turquoise metallic and white
finish. They loved the GM color Seafoam Green but needed
something custom—not stock. A custom PPG color was
formulated and lovingly named Bitch-Eyes Blue, after right-
hand man Gino Capps. The top was painted GM Work Truck
White, and the interior a custom gold metallic mix. The first
coat of clear has House of Kolor’s Ice Pearl Gold Pearl Flake,
which was applied to the exterior, interior, all suspension parts,
and the custom wood bed slats. The results are impressive,
especially in good lighting. After the paint was buffed to a show
shine, the crew at DWS Classics, with help from several friends,
began the task of assembling the body.
