Whendid you get your big break?
In 2013, I received a call from Revlon
Cosmetics SA CEO requesting a meeting
withthe entire Revlon marketing team.
Theybroke the news that they wanted to
formacollaboration with me. I was the
firstmake-up artist in SA to be their brand
ambassador. This changed my life and
elevatedmy career.
Whathas the industry taught you?
Ithasintroduced me to some high-profile
individuals and those at Presidential
level. Working with people in such high
positions has taught me to stay grounded
as I don’t know who my next client could
be.
What’s your biggest achievement so far?
My biggest success was starting both my
businesses. Being selected as the first
make-up artist in the country to represent
a global brand, Revlon Cosmetics, and
being hand-picked by M.A.C Cosmetics to
represent South Africa in Berlin at their
annual Make-up Trends Presentation
are some of the highlights. Working at
the Global Citizen Concert as one of
the backstage make-up artists was also
amazing.
