twin-turbo petrol engine with a peak 450
PS at 6,500 rpm and a substantial530 Nm
of peak torqueavailablebetween2,300
and 5,000 rpm. An eight-speedPDk
(Porsche Doppelkupplung) dual-clutch
automatic transmission drives the rear
wheels.

225”, with a startingprice of Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new 1.5-litreDDiS 225 diesel unit has been

developedby MarutiSuzuki,with the 225 being the

maximumtorqueoutputin Nm, kickingin at 1,500 to

2,500 revolutionsper minute.It makes95 PS at 4,000 rpm.

the new diesel engine boasts of a number of

enhancements, including optimized compression ratios

and a dual-mass flywheel, and claims to offer a best-in-

class fuel efficiency of 26.82 km/l. A completely new six-

speed transmission is offered, with the reverse gear

position now relocated next to first.

The Ciaz DDiS 225 will be available in three variants

― Delta, Zeta, and Alpha ― priced at Rs 9.98 lakh, Rs 11.09

lakh, and Rs 11.38 lakh respectively, all ex-showroom.
