to make a section as shown. Make

same color family as shown.

Assembling the Quilt Top
NOTE: Refer to Assembly Diagram for
following steps, watching block place-
ment.
4 Sew 3 rows of 3 blocks each as
shown. Join rows together.
5 Refer to Borders in Quilt Basics. Join
9 light print C’s as shown in Assem-
bly Diagram to make border 1 side
strip. Make 2. In the same manner,
join 10 light print C’s to make top/
bottom border 1. Make 2. Matching
centers and ends, sew border 1 side
strips to quilt; repeat to add top and
bottom strips.
6 Join 20 dark print C’s to make
border 2, placing colors carefully
as shown in Assembly Diagram.
Make 4.
7 Matching centers and ends, join bor-
ders to both sides of quilt. Sew gray
dot D to both ends of remaining bor-
der 2 strips; sew to top and bottom.
Quilting and Finishing
8 Layer, baste, and quilt. Diane machine
quilted straight lines to form a wreath
in the blocks and wavy lines in the
borders. Bind the quilt.
