1200 nits of brightness, though
resolution remains the same. The
result on both Pro and Pro Max is
jaw-dropping. Fire up a Netflix or
iTunes movie that supports Dolby
Vision and it’s like having an insanely
good TV screen in your hand, made
even better thanks to the new spatial
audio speakers with Dolby Atmos
support, which means you get sound
in front of you as well as left to right.
The Pro gets the same new A13
Bionic processor that the iPhone 11
enjoys, giving it more performance
across the board than you will
probably ever need, so it’s future–
proofed, but the big change here is
battery life. As we mentioned earlier,
the battery size is much bigger than
in the XS, with Apple claiming an
astonishing four more hours in the Pro
and five more in the Pro Max. This
rings true even in heavy use, with at
least a day’s life.
THE BOTTOM LINE. If you can’t
wait for a radical refresh in 2020, the
iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max represents
the best time to upgrade your iPhone.
