CONVERSATIONS IN THE
Messages app needn’t be
limited to text. You can
brighten things up by adding
animated GIFs and colorful stickers to the
conversation with a few taps.
Anyone can add a GIF quickly and easily
thanks to Messages’ built–in GIF tool.
Sending a sticker requires you to download

There’s a huge range to choose from, both

If you have an iPhone X or later, you can
add Memoji and Animoji to your Messages
conversations. These use the front–facing
camera to create a cartoon likeness of you.
In iOS 13, you can add Memoji stickers too.
All of these tools are stored in the app
drawer at the bottom of the Messages
screen. If you can’t see the appropriate
button in the app drawer, swipe all the
way to the right of it and tap the More
button, then tap Edit, then add the button

Send a GIF
Open a message, then tap the red
magnifying glass at the bottom of the
screen. Once you’ve found a GIF to send,
tap to add it to the conversation; you can
add a message alongside it if you like.
When you’re done, tap the arrow to send.Install a sticker pack
Open a message, then tap the App
Store icon in the app drawer. If you find
one you like, tap Get or the price of the
sticker set, then install it. You’ll need to
verify the purchase with a password, or
use Face ID or Touch ID.Insert a sticker
Find the sticker pack you want
in the app drawer; tap the sticker pack
button, then choose a sticker. Tap to
send it, or tap and drag it over the
message bubble to place it. You can
resize and rotate it before sending.
