BASIC TECHNIQUES

SKINNY SCARF

Chain 10.

Row 1 Double crochet into the second chain

from the hook, double crochet across, turn.

[9 double crochets]

Row 2 Chain 3 (counts as treble throughout),

2 treble, chain 1, skip 1 stitch, treble into the

next stitch, chain 1, skip 1 stitch, 3 treble, turn.

[7 trebles, 2 chain-1 spaces]

Row 3 As row 2.

Row 4 Chain 3, treble into each stitch across,

turn. [9 trebles]

Row 5 As row 4.

Repeat Rows 2-5 until the tie scarf measures

approximately 124cm, ending with a Row 3.

Final row As row 1.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Block the scarf gently according to the

instructions given on page 131.
