Neat backstitch
Work the backstitch after
completing all of the
cross stitch to make sure
these defining lines stand
out against the stitches that
are already there. This is equally as
important for small designs as it is for big. When
working backstitch, use short lengths of thread
then let your needle dangle down regularly to
allow the thread to untwist for really neat stitches.
