FELTING
Felt the slippers in the washing machine,
or by h a n d i f you wa nt a l it t l e m ore c ont rol
over the process, using a wool-safe liquid
soap and a temperature of 40-60°C. If you
are felting in the washing machine, it is
important that you felt the slippers along
with something else so that they get a little
‘beating’. Make sure the machine isn’t
over-full; a bath towel and two rubber balls
should be sufficient. For extra grip, apply
p at te r n s of l i q u i d l ate x on t h e s ol e to
prevent slipping on smooth surfaces.
