quilt by Terri Vanden Bosch. Paper
piecing makes for perfect stars, and
curved piecing creates a magnifi cent
secondary design.

Making the Units, Sections,
and Blocks
Refer to “Curved Piecing” in Basic
Lessons. Join 1 green print A and
2 white solid B’s as shown; repeat
to make 2 total. Join 2 green A’s
with 1 gray print C as shown. Join
3 pieces to complete block Y. Make
15 block Y’s total.

Referto“Triangle-Squares” in
BasicLessons.PairgreenD’s and
whiteD’stomake 60 units total.

Make 60 paper copies of the founda-

tion section.

Refer to “Foundation Piecing” in

Basic Lessons, and refer to the foun-

dation sections for color placement.

Piece the sections in numerical

order, pressing and trimming after

each patch addition. Make 15 sets of

4 matching sections total.
