Chris’ quilt features piecing, fussy cutting, a little appliqué and — her
signature technique — foundation piecing. The background square
fabric was too dramatic to cut up so it stayed as is, and the star
fabric called out for some fussy cutting. One of Chris’ favourite block
styles is the twelve-pointed star; she has placed this at the centre
of the medallion and with the use of modern fabrics, a traditional
