- In recent years several techniques of computer graphing have been
developed. Software for the graph of w = f ( z) using a personal computer
is now readily available.
- Heffter [8] writes w = Reie = f(x + iy), and constructs the graph of
the modular surface R = R(x, y). On this surface the values of~= ~(x, y)
are then indicated by surface markings. This method has been used by
E. Jahnke and F. Emde in their celebrated collection of tables [9], as well
as by other writers.
