mothers accepted parity-poverty hypothesis by experience although they agreed
it was possible in other families that practised multiparity. Thus, couples should
disassociate from the aspect of culture and personal beliefs related to parity
which endanger the health of women and family economy. Also, more public
sensitization should be initiated to cover the challenges of large family and
family planning as a way of curtailing preventable grand multiparity.
