o celebrate the publication of Edward’s
Menagerie: The New Collection, the
official sequel to my first book, I spent
a very busy two weeks on the road
meeting fans, sharing tips and tricks and
chatting all things #edsanimals!
In order to mark five years of Edward’s
Menagerie animals being such a big part
of my life, I approached John Lewis and
Partners haberdashery departments to
provide a space for me to book sign and
meet and greet TOFT fans across the UK.
I visited 18 stores across England, Wales
and Scotland on what was one of the most
inspiring, uplifting and humbling trips I
have ever done in the history of TOFT. The
most exciting thing for me has been the
incredible show-and-tell sessions where
many people brought along their first,
favourite, or whole collection of makes. It’s
amazing being a craft author – the patterns
that I have written are taken, tweaked,
added to and taken so much further
beyond my creativity and imagination.
It all started with a last-minute decision to
crochet a super-sized version of Sid the
Giant Anteater, my favourite pattern from
the new book. With less than a week to go
