Snowflakes
Snowflake 1 (make 2)
With F, chain 5. Join with sl st in first ch to
form a ring.
Rnd 1: 1 ch, [2 dc in ring, ch 3] 6 times, sl st
to beg dc. 12 sts
Rnd 2: Sl st in next st and 3ch-sp, [2 dc,
3 ch, 2 dc] in next 3ch-sp; rep from 5
times more, sl st to beg dc. 24 sts
Fasten off.
Snowflake 2 (make 3)
With F, chain 4. Join with sl st in first ch to
form a ring.
Rnd 1: Working into ring, 7 ch (counts as 1
tr and 4 ch), [2 tr, 4 ch] 5 times, 1 tr, sl st
to 3rd of beg 7 ch. 12 sts
Fasten off.
Block Snowflakes by pinning out on towel
and steaming gently with iron.
Making up
Make 4 pompoms, 1 each in H & I and 2 in
G. Weave in all ends.
Using photo as a guide, attach
Snowflakes and pompoms to hanging
lines on antlers. Thread Snowflakes
and pompoms on approximately 15cm
of J each, feeding yarn through ch-sp
of Snowflakes or inside of pompoms.
Passing the yarn around post of desired
stitch, tie a bow at front of Cushion
to attach decorations – this way
decorations can be replaced
or repositioned.
For back of Cushion, sew a piece of
fabric in place allowing 1cm of seam
allowance along three sides of Cushion.
Secure zip on remaining open side and
close the gaps on each side of the zip.
Insert cushion pad.Spring Decorations
To celebrate spring, you can change
decorations on Cushion to Leaves and
Flowers. Make as many as you like of
each item.Leaves
With I, chain 8.
Rnd 1: Starting in 2nd ch from hook 1 dc, 1
htr, 3 tr, 1 htr, 1 dc, 1 ch, rotating as you
go, work in the other side of the chain, 1dc, 1 htr, 3 tr, 1 htr, 1 dc, sl st to beg dc, 1
ch, with RS facing, work a row of surface
sl st along spine of Leaf, into
foundation chains.
Fasten off.Flowers
Rnd 1: With F and working into magic ring,
[1 dc, 2 ch] 5 times, sl st to beg dc to join.
5 sts
Rnd 2: With G, [3 dc in next 2ch-sp, sl st in
next dc] 5 times, sl st to beg dc to join.
15 sts
Fasten off.
Attach decorations with J, as
