Photo Awards
February AprilEntries for IGPOTY are welcome from
amateurs and professionals alike, from any
country in the world. In fact, the competition
attracts individual entries in excess of 20,000
annually. Last year’s winning image, Fireworks
by Jill Welham, has proven that even old
techniques are still capable of relevance,
originality and immense beauty in this
competition. Her resulting exposure clearly
draws from a rich and interesting heritage but
is unmistakably different in its approach and
execution. This makes it an image fit for the
modern age in both its ability to communicate
the beauty and importance of plant life,
as well as its capacity to represent the
empowerment of women in art and science.Landscape
