Winter Brights
In an effort to fight away any winter blues, we’ve
turned the feeling on its head and this month we are
all about the Winter Brights! Our team of expert
designers has pulled together one of my favourite
collections of patterns since I first became Editor,
gosh, almost two years ago now – where does the
time go?!The star of this collection has to be Tiam Safari’s
awesome Canteloupe Cardigan (page 16) that
features on-trend balloon sleeves, perfect for hiding
inside during colder weather. Rosina Plane continues
to design the most amazing blankets with this month’s Walk in the Park blanket (page 38)
and Zoe Potrac’s neat little Bonfire Cushion (page 78) is a great way to add a pop of colour
to any piece of furniture.
There is still time to make those last-minute stocking fillers for Christmas too, so keep an
eye out for our little bauble image to give you some hints, from a stylish cowl (page 14) to
a fun cuddly penguin toy (page 62). If you’re running out of time to make anything, check
out our festive gift guide (page 66) for gifts for him, her and yourself, of course!
We are also so excited about our fabulous patterns for Shaun the Sheep and some of his
new friends (page 20) from his brand-new film Farmageddon! I hope you and your little
ones laughed as much as I did while watching it (if you haven’t yet, be sure to make the trip!).
But my personal favourite this month simply has to be your new fabulous 2020 Calendar
from Irene Strange – with 25 adorable patterns, including some of our favourite dogs and
funniest accessories (the cone of shame!) you are sure to have fun all year round!
