These homeowners were on a two-year sabbatical in

London while the design and construction happened so

they put their trust in us and we took that very

seriously. Creating a kitchen that felt appropriate for the look and

vintage of this 1920s Tudor-style house was the goal but we also

wanted to make sure there was plenty of room for the family of four to

cook entertain and be together. The cosy U-shaped window seat in the

breakfast nook is a favourite element: the leather is beautiful and the

Pendleton plaid pillows are a nod to one owner’s British heritage. I love

the round pedestal dining table. We designed a rectangular version

but the round one felt much more welcoming. When the project was

done the owners had us over for a splendid meal to celebrate. We had a

ton of fun drank too much and wound up dancing in the dining room!
